Melons are vine-like herb plants of the Cucurbit family that bear an accessory fruit known as a false berry. The fruit is actually called muskmelon because of its odor when ripe, but over the years this has been shortened to melon.
Melons are good sources of vitamin C, the amount showing considerable variation with variety and maturity. They are also rich in provitamin A because of their β-carotene content.
Melon fruit was processed into clarified juice and juice concentrate. Greater yields were obtained from pressing fruit containing the rind in contrast to pressing melon flesh with the rind removed.
Melon juice is also an excellent drink for acne. It is almost a perfect food in that it has many vitamins and minerals. It is most helpful with constipation, kidney disorders and skin disorders.

Technically, any liquid intended for drinking is a beverage so named by a word derived from French and Latin verbs meaning ‘to drink.’ Healthy beverages are beverages with health benefits that attribute by its nutritional value. The use of healthy beverage for promoting health and relieving symptom is as old as the practice of medicine.
