Juices are high in sugar and usually not much else. Vitamin C may be added to boost the nutrition, but that is all.
The juice lack the fiber that is in the whole fruit. Some experts said cautions that drinking pure with no pulp skin of apple, carrot, grape or orange juice minus the after wreaks havoc with body’s own sugar levels. A person with diabetes or hypoglycemia need to be especially careful to avoid this.
Juices have a high content of simple sugars, and this can induce an excessive energy intake. Indeed, the energy content of apple juice and orange juice is about 6% higher than that of cola drinks.
It is important to avoid being confused by pseudo-juice products. Drinks label as ‘fruit nectar’, ‘fruit beverage’ or ‘fruit punch’ contain little or no actual fruit juice.
Despite the pictures of fruit that often appear prominently on the labels, these products are little more than fruit flavored sugar water.
If the person is suffered from kidney stones, it is better to avoid juices made from vegetables such as spinach, collard greens and some other vegetables. These vegetables are higher in oxalic acid.
At the same time vitamin C content decreases as a function of time after production and products should be consumed within a week of opening it’s container.
The problem with juice
Technically, any liquid intended for drinking is a beverage so named by a word derived from French and Latin verbs meaning ‘to drink.’ Healthy beverages are beverages with health benefits that attribute by its nutritional value. The use of healthy beverage for promoting health and relieving symptom is as old as the practice of medicine.
